The new Mavic Open Pro UST - 700c clincher rim is wide rim brake offering from Mavic.
The rim is trying to set a new standard for tubeless compatibility but is tubed tyre compatible as well. Mavic claim improved tollerances compared to other rim brands making tubeless tyre fitting easier. Mavic UST tubeless tyre will be offered once I have had chance to test them to see if they are any good.
The rim is 19mm wide internally and has single eyelets. It looks good too.
The spoke offered are black sapim laser for the front, and black Sapim Force spokes for the rear wheel.
Silver spokes and Sapim CX-rays can also be used. Ask for pricing I cant put everything in the listing.
Weight limit for the 24F/28R wheelset is 100kg and for the 32F/32r wheelset is 120kg. These weight limits are estimates and will be refined with experience.
Alloy nipples matchting the spoke colour, will be used on the 24F/28R wheelset as there have no issues with these on other wheelsets. There has not been enough testing with alloy nipples for riders above 100kg so I will be using silver brass nipples.
Hubs offered are the ones I normally use.
