Miche make what I consider to be some of the best bicycle hubs in production today.
The Syntium DX hub is available for 6 bolt disc brake rotors. The axle used is 17mm diameter and the freehub is that standard Syntium/SWR model also available as a spare.
Three freehub types are available;
- Shimano 8/9/10/11 speed - MTB 11 speed cassettes need a 1.85mm spacer, spacer supplied
- Campagnolo 9/10/11 speed
- SRAM XD driver for XX1, XX01, X0, X01 Eagle, XX Eagle, X1, GX, NX and EX1 drivetrains.
The hubs roll on 6803 bearings and the rear hub has bearing preload adjustment.
The front hub is compatible with 100x15mm and 100x12mm thru axle options and Q/R. Remove the end cap inserts to make 100x15mm compatible. Insert the small rings supplied into the end caps to make 100x12mm compatible.
The rear hubs has a 142x12mm axle or 135mm Q/R compatible axle. Replacement axles are available in another listing (miche disc brake hub rear axle listing. A 12mm hex key and 17mm spanner are need to swap the axle over. Two 5mm allen keys are needed to remove the Q/R axle and the other tools to put the 142x12mm axle back in. So one hubset for many bike standards.
If you order with thru axle rear no skewers are supplied. If you order with Q/R rear then a pair of Miche Q/R skewers are supplied hence the difference in price.
Q/R skewers are again available in a separate listing if required.
Front and rear hub PCD is 59mm for both flanges.
Front hub left flange to centre of hub = 21.5mm
Front hub right flange to centre of hub =36mm
Rear hub 142x12mm/135mm left flange to centre of hub =34mm
Rear hub 142x12mm/135mm right flange to centre of hub =19mm
Hubset weight 430g
