Stronglight are one of the few companies still making square taper cranksets for 9-10 speed drive trains. Of course you could use the chainset with a 6/7/or 8 speed drive train. The crankset is designed to work with a 107mm JIS taper bottom bracket like the Shimano UN55 or or the Tange Seiki LN3922 units I have listed in the BB's section of my shop.
Square taper bottom brackets are significantly more reliable than the modern external bottom brackets or BB30 and other modern standards. This make this crankset suitable for high mileage riders and commuters who do not need to save every last gram or need a chainset that is a stiff as possible.
The weight of the crankset with crank bolts is 648g.
Options for chainring 50/34T , 46/36T and 48/34T and crank length options are 165mm, 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm. The chain rings are aluminum alloy and silver in colour.
The 165mm cranks are currently the 4 visible and one hidden bolt behind the crank arm, still 5 arm but different to those pictured.
