If you have a 700C 135mm spaced single speed for fixed gear bike for rim brake or disc brake finding good wheels is an issue. Well it has been until now.
- A robust all weather wheelset.
- Reliable cartridge bearing hubs.
- Wide tubeless tyre ready rims.
- Stiff yet comfortable.
- Triple butted Sapim spokes.
- Shimano or Campagnolo freehub.
- Life if the rim warranty rim brake or 16000km disc brake warranty.
Surly New Ultra hubs are the solution. A few riders I now have been using these for a while with no issues. These are bolt on hubs that can be converted to Q/R skewers if you want. I offer the 32H drilling hubs in black for rim brake or disc brake (6 bolt). There is a silver hub too please enquire about this.
These are very stiff wheels with a 120kg rider weight limit.
Rim brake build
32F/32R BORG22 rims (Kinlin XR22T) with Sapim laser spokes front and race spokes rear. Black spoke and black alloy nipples are used. Silver brass nipples can be substituted. Tubeless tape and valves are supplied. so they are tubeless tyre ready.
The rims are 24mm wide and 19mm deep. Tough and cheap.
32F/32R BORG22 rims with black Sapim Force spokes all round and black alloy nipples. Again brass can be substituted if you like (but since these alloy nipples don't fail what the point). The rims are 24mm wide, 22mm deep. Tough and cheap.
Usual guarantee applies life of the rim for the rim brake wheelset or 5 year/10,000 miles for the disc brake wheelset against spoke failure (through wear and tear fatigue) and rim/hub flange failure.
