The Centaur 11 speed Ergo's use an updated power shift mechanism. The update is in the material used to improve long term reliability. The function is still the same, one down shift click from the thumb button and multiple upshifts from the paddle.
Centaur 11 speed shifters and rear mechs can only be used with each other. They are not compatible with other components from the Campagnolo range. Only wide range cassettes should be used with the rear derailleur.
The chainset uses the 4 arm design that has grown on me. Power-torque is no more. This chainset uses ultra torque bottom brackets. Make your choice when buying.
There are two ring options 50/34 and 52/36T. Sadly no 53/42T which is my favourite but it seems I am in a minority of one now.
The front mech (braze on) uses the same 11+ geometry (long arm) for ease of shifting and a stiff steel cage.
The rear derailleur offered is medium/long cage. There is only one as the casettes offered are wide range. Miche cassettes of course will work and a re a bit cheaper.
The Campagnolo brakes are claimed to be lighter than SRAM's or Shimano offering of the same level.
Cables and casings are included.
The chain is a ccampagnolo non series 11 speed although KMC make wonderful chains and can save a bit of money.
If you want to have a KMC and Miche cassette then call the shop and I can invoice for that. Saving depends on the cassette picked.
