Sapim Laser Silver double butted spokes MTB Road stainless steel 2.0 1.5 2.0mm

£0.58

Sapim Laser spokes are a double butted spoke. 2.0mm and the J-bend and the nipple and 1.5mm along the long centre section. They are draw from high quality stainless steel ensure longevity.

These spokes are suitable for most types of wheel building and are commonly used in rim brake wheels MTB or Road wheels. The spoke is thins and flexable but also light weight. These are normally used on front wheels which have good spoke bracing angles anyway. On many road wheelset I build, Laser spokes are used on the non dive side of the rear wheel as well while the thicker Sapim Race spoke is used on the drive side of the rear wheel. This keeps the weight down while maintaining good stiffnes. Laser spokes are fine also on MTB wheels if they are for rim brake bikes. They would only be suitable for XC use and for lighter riders but they work well.
Given they are so thin they have good aero properties if you worry about that sort of thing.

All spokes come with Sapim Polyax brass nipples. 64 x 260mm spokes weigh 273g and 64 x 290mm spokes weigh 305g. Each brass nipple weighs 1g.
